If you’re looking for our social media channels, good luck! We don’t use social media and here’s why…
We like to practice what we preach, and what we preach is that if social media is not moving your business or getting you leads, flush it. Social media is nothing more than a method of transportation in most cases – reaching your prospects where they are and pulling them to your website. Social media is still useful for meaningful interactions, but lately we’ve begun to suspect that it’s just Social Media Managers talking to other Social Media Managers. Social postings are in danger of becoming more noise in the Internet universe.
Trouble Group is building our business on one-to-one interactions rather than mass-blasting of our content. We think our website, our business cards, and our overall personalities will get the job done. That and the fact that we’re ahead of the hype.
Just because we don’t use social media on a day-to-day basis, doesn’t mean we won’t use it for something in the future. Social media is by no means useless in our eyes. There are many big ideas we could get involved in that would require a social media component and we’re absolutely open to that. Just don’t look for posts about employee birthdays or Trouble Group company picnics.
There are many many companies in the world that benefit from social media. Companies that field questions, deal with customer service, provide up-to-the-minute information, and useful content. We would never tell (most) companies to ditch social, but as you can tell, we do things a little differently around here.
Find out if you should be antisocial.
